Policies & Practice Information

My goal is to be transparent about how I work before we even meet. Below is an overview of my key policies. Full informed consent documents will be provided electronically prior to your first session.

Fees & Payment

Sessions are self-pay only — I do not accept or bill insurance. Payment is due at or before each session via card on file or Venmo. Please send Venmo payment without a note, or use a neutral description.

  • Individual: $90 / 50 min

  • Couples: $120 / 50 min

  • Sliding scale: Limited availability for students and low-income clients; must be requested prior to first session

A superbill may be provided upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement, though reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Cancellation & No-Show

Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee. Sessions cannot be extended for late arrivals.

Confidentiality

What you share in therapy stays between us — with a few legally required exceptions. I may be required to disclose information in the following situations:

  • Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or dependent adult

  • Serious and imminent risk of harm to yourself or someone else

  • A court order or lawful subpoena

Your case may also be discussed confidentially with my clinical supervisor to support quality care. This is a standard and ethical part of practice as an LPC-A.

Telehealth

All sessions are held via secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. To get the most out of telehealth:

  • Find a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking freely

  • Use a reliable internet connection

  • Have a backup plan in case of technical difficulties (phone call, reschedule)

Telehealth services are available to clients located in Texas only. If telehealth is not clinically appropriate for your needs, we'll discuss alternatives or referrals together.

Emergencies & Crisis

I am not available for 24/7 crisis support. If you are in crisis or immediate danger, please reach out to one of the following:

  • 911 or your nearest emergency room

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988

  • Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741

We will also create a personalized safety plan together as part of your care.

Records & Privacy (HIPAA)

I maintain clinical records as required by law and ethical standards. You have the right to request access to your records at any time — a reasonable fee may apply for copies or summaries. Records are retained in accordance with state and federal requirements and then securely destroyed.

For full details on how your protected health information (PHI) may be used and disclosed, you will receive a Notice of Privacy Practices prior to your first session.

Emotional Support Animal Documentation

ESA letters are available to established clients whose clinical presentation supports the recommendation. Documentation is not provided on demand — eligibility is determined through an existing therapeutic relationship and clinical review. Fees and process details will be discussed at that time.
